Hybrid Drive Modes
The Highlander Hybrid gives you the option to tailor the vehicle’s performance to your needs with its wide range of driving modes, including Normal for regular use, Eco for maximum efficiency, Sport for improved acceleration, EV Mode for short distance of pure electric driving at low speeds, and Trail Mode for increased traction in AWD models.
FWD or AWD Hybrid Drivetrain
In the Highlander Hybrid, you may choose between two different powertrains. Intelligent capability is provided by Front-Wheel Drive (FWD), while additional traction is made available by All-Wheel Drive (AWD).
Electronic On-Demand AWD
The strength of a smart grip. Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive (AWD) is an option for the Highlander Hybrid. It lets you drive in any weather and with confidence on the road. The system uses a dedicated electric drive motor to send power to the back wheels automatically. This gives the car better traction right away.
Refined Drive
The Highlander has a smoother, more confident ride thanks to the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA-K) platform. The strength of the frame also makes the car easier to handle, and sound-dampening and sound-proofing materials have been used to make the cabin calmer.
